Welcome to the website of Newton Lodge #59 located in Newton, Iowa.  Our lodge was chartered by the Grand Lodge of Iowa in 1855.  We are very proud to have celebrated over 150 years of Freemasonry in the Newton community.  We have been in our present Temple on the southwest corner of the courthouse square since 1870.

Our lodge has a long and proud tradition of service.  We have had 3 brothers serve the Grand Lodge of Iowa as Grand Master and we have had numerous other individuals serve as Grand Lodge Officers, officers of the York Rite Grand Bodies of Iowa, and Iowa Grand Chapter of Eastern Star officers.

Our lodge has over 220 members.  We are an active and vibrant lodge with a variety of activities going on throughout the year for our members and their families.
