Lodge News: July-August 2009
The month of June proved to be a busy one indeed, on the 1st we had another Golf outing at Toad Valley where another Good Time was had by all. Thank you Worshipful Brother Greg Spooner for all your hard work and dedication for these Monday golf outings.
On June 4th we had a 1st Degree for Justin Harvey, Welcome to Home Lodge Brother Harvey we at Home; look forward to your 2nd and 3rd Degrees. This Degree was conferred by Worshipful Brother David Minor, and was well attended by the Brethren of Home Lodge.
June 11th was our Stated Meeting where we had our usual evening meal, a fine dinner of Meatloaf and all the fixings preparred and serverd by our Jr. Warden and our Stewards, also Thanks to Mary for all your help. The Stated Meeting folllowed at 7:30, where Quotations were givin by Worshipful Brother Greg Spooner for Lodge repair, these quotes were considered to be high and Worshipful Brother Greg was asked by the members to see if he could obtain some lower quotes and report them at the July Meeting. Also an election was held to fill the remainder of 2009 for our 3rd Trustee, Worshipful Master Mel Moore was elected to this position. The meeting was then adjourned with Peace and Harmony prevailing.
June 13th was our 2nd Pleasant Hill/Home Lodge Blood Drive, where we had another fine turn out. We had “Three” first time givers and a total of 35 units of Blood donated, which is only one short of what we gave in Feburary. These 35 units of Blood helped save the lives of 100 people. Thank you Worshipful Brother Daryl Barnard for chairing this excellent Blood Drive. Again Thanks to all who donated, helped prepare the food, set-up and tear down, or just came out for morral support, you all had a part in making this another successful day.
On June 18th we had a 3rd Degree for Brother Mick Corcoran, who became our 5th New Master Mason of the year. A big Welcome and Congratulations to Brother Mick, we hope to see you at Home lodge for our schools and Degrees, and any events thet you might be able to attend. His 3rd degree was conferred by Worshipful Master Mel Moore and in the East as King Solomon was Most Worshipful Brother Charles Brinkerhoff who raised Brother Mick to the sublime degree of a Master Mason. Thanks to all who helped in this Degree, we had several new spots filled in the 2nd section, Job Well Done Brothers.
On June 25th a 2nd Degree was given to Brother Justin Harvey, this Degree was conferred by Worshipful Brother Bill Freeman. Congrats Brother Harvey, you have just one Degree to go before you can join us in all our works and labors here at Home Lodge.
It is so nice to see young men become Masons, espaceilly men with an egerness to learn more about Masonry.
Brethren, I,m pleased to inform all of you that Worshipful Brother John Shepherd continues to improve every day, not only has John attended the last two Stated Meetings, he has attended several schools where he has had an active part in our Ritual work that is given to the candidates in all of their Degrees. What a thrill it is to have John back in Lodge and attending our Schools of Instruction. May God continnue to Bless and keep you.
The only work we were able to schedule for the month of July was a 1st degree for Mr. Eric Holland, this Degree was conferred by Most Worshipful Charles L. Brinkerhoff. Congradulations Brother Holland in joining the Finest Fraternity known to Man.
July 9th was our Stated Meeting, where we were able to come to an agreement on the repair of our Roof and Lodge Room, these “two Items will be taken care of in the months of July and August.Thank you, to all the Brethren who helped put these two items together , so we could proceed with this much needed work.
As many of you know by now our All Bodies Picnic, on July 11th was a big success, a Big Thank You to all that helped make this day possible and to those who attended. All the Bodies were well represented, and a Good Time was had by all.
July 25th the White Shrine had its annual Sweet Corn Feed, where Good Food and a Good Time was had by all who attended.

I’m pleased to announce that our Roof is completed, and NO More Leaks. This means that we can now repair our Lodge Room and get it back to the excellent condition that it was in before the water damage. This work is going to begin on or about 8-4-09
And should be finished in time for our Stated Meeting on 8-13-09. Thank you Brothers Guy, and Bill Freeman and Greg Spooner for getting all the fixtures and items out of the Lodge Room so it could be repaired as per our Quote. “Over” to Front page for the rest of the Story”
Because of the Lodge repair, I have not yet scheduled any of the remaining Degree work. I will let everyone know as to when we will resume work, Paticence and Tollerence, Please!!!!!!.
Dues Reminder
For those of you who have not yet paid your 2009 dues, Please do this as soon as possible so you will not be droped from our Great Fraternity, and get lost in the shufful.
Remember, even tho we do not have any Degree work, we will continue to have a School of Instruction Every Monday in the month of August and September
