FREEMASONRY

~ A WAY OF LIFE ~

Greetings from the East

What a start to the year and I am still behind as I am writing this.  It was good to see the turn out at our stated meeting in January and I look forward to seeing as many of you who can make it to a stated meeting or degree work as possible.  Please come out and get reacquainted with your brothers or get involved in Arcadia.
The month is a busy one as we begin our association with The Oblong Square Club and will be hosting our first meeting Thursday, February 12 at 7:00.  This ritual study group is made up of Boone, Madrid, and Nevada Lodges and we are joining them this year.  The club meets on a rotating basis at the various lodges on the second Thursday of each month.  This month we will be practicing the Second Degree at Arcadia and I will be working the floor with the help a DL on floor work.  Come out and join us and start learning a part or relearn a part as well as floor work.  Taking part in a new brother’s degree can be rewarding and fun.
We will also be preparing for the Grand Lodge Reception for Brother Jeremy Davis.  Our education in February will be reviewing the procedures for receiving Grand Lodge officers.  We will also have a review of this following the 2nd degree for Joel Dorn on February 19th.  Joel’s 3rd degree will be part of the festivities on February 21st with the Grand Lodge Officers putting on the second section of the 3rd degree.
Don’t forget that on Monday, March 30th we will be taking part in the Re-Obligation not being proposed by Grand Master Jack Butler.  Search for your own white leather apron and bring it out to lodge to wear again and re-obligate yourself to the ideals of Masonry.

GUESS THE ARCADIA MASON?
Feel like you don’t know your fellow brothers in the lodge? You may be missing out on a life long friendship filled with love, respect and fraternal kinship. You may be surprised to find that you have more in common with these great men than you think. To aid in this venture you are herby being brought from darkness to light on the many wonderful Arcadia brothers that surround us everyday. This year will embark a great journey for what I hope to be a long tradition of us all getting to learn about each other.
